Johnny Appleseed

Johnny Appleseed’s real name was John Chapman.

We celebrate two Johnny Appleseed Days: Sept 26th, which is his birthday, and March 11, his death.

Johnny’s favorite book was the Bible.

He was so kind, that sometimes he gave away his trees to people who couldn’t afford them.

Johnny Appleseed loved sleeping under the stars in a hammock or burrowed in a pile of leaves.

Come celebrate Johnny Appleseed this month at the library.  Color an APPLE and bring it to the library to add to our tree and get a treat!

The Library will be closed on Monday October 9th to observe Columbus Day.
